There is plenty of clearance do to the vertical axle path from the pivot location. If the pivot was very low, near the BB, then the tire swing up and forward into the seat tube.
If you want a short rear end for maneuverability, this is the bike.
The bike rides great. I'm looking forward to taking it out to some big jump trails.

is it just me, or does that tire look like its gonna be all over the seat tube like an inch or 2 into the travel? sick sick bike, i love my MC, but looks like there is like zero clerance.

Mountain Cycle slope style prototype. Four inches of travel, sub 16" chainstays and built hella tough. No compromises! Who else makes something like this?
