Like most other overpriced gimmick prebuilt aluminum clinchers these wheels get most of their weight savings from using super light hubs, and by not counting skewer weight in their reported wheelset weights. Put a solid Shimano or Campytype hub weight on those wheels with skewer weights included, and you are looking at a 1600-1700 gram wheelset for $800.
Pricey, rims which aren't light, my Open Pro's and Velocity Deep V's can do the same things these do at 1/3 the price and are easier to fix when needed.
