It's a 4130 front with a 7005 rear and links. 20mm pivots and it's desiged to be a good jump, park, resort, do it all and not worry about it kinda bike. For production it has a lower top tube and BTW it has a 16.25 to 16.75 adjustable chainstay length. I love the proto and can't wait to get the production version.

I had the opportunity to pedal one of the prototypes around, SWEET! I take my big rig mostly to the resorts and I could definitely replace it with this bike. According to the Bros, it will retail for $1799 USD with a Fox DHX 5.0 Shock. Steel front, aluminum rear. DH geometry and fits 8" rotors. Supposedly they will have an update on their website by the end of October. I'm in....

I don't know if there's a name for the linkage. I'm also not sure what production frames will be made from. I'm pretty sure they'll be chromoly, though. That's what this one is made from.

Do they have any special name for the linkage? And I've heard that the frame will be chromoly, but Ive also heard aluminum and steel. Which one is it?

Fair enough, Lou. Just wanted to clarify for people who might misunderstand. I'd sure like to try the new Canfield. I'm sure it's sweet. And I'm curious about how that linkage feels.

dude, this is not a comparison! is personal taste. the nomad is 8lbs w/air-shock, get a coil
spring and? FYI the two bikes have about the same amount of travel. the balance has steel main
frame, aluminium alloy swing-arm. and in my opinion is still a better bike!than the nomad.
by the way if you by a nomad, you will not be able to chase your BB, because the tool won't simply fit.so much for your chain line!! by the way enjoy yours post.regards lou from Brasil.

Lou from Brazil-
The Canfield definitely looks sweet, but you shouldn't be comparing it to the Nomad. It's a completely different kind of frame. It's a 10 lb chromoly frame. The Nomad is relatively light trail/freeride frame. Your post is just going to confuse people. This is not a Nomad competitor. It's a very different type of bike.
